gBurner is a versatile software tool that allows you to perform all kinds of disc burning tasks. Thus, you can create data CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs, as well as copy your existing discs and create mixed-mode discs. However, gBurner also allows you to perform other kinds of related tasks, such as to create, edit, and burn ISO files, or to create bootable USB drives, among others.
The program offers a friendly and intuitive user interface that allows you to locate any of the provided burning tools very easily. On the left side of the window there is a panel that includes five sections ─ Data, Audio, Video, Copy, and Tools. Each of them, in turn, offers you shortcuts to some related tools. The right side panel, on the other hand, varies depending on the selected tool. For example, if you select to create a data disc, you will see a twin panel where you can add all your source files and folders, but if you want to copy a disc, the interface will simply allow you to select the source and destination drives for the process.
Besides creating data CDs, audio CDs, and video VCD, SVCD, or DVD discs, the program offers you a number of complementary utilities that turn it into a very comprehensive tool, as I stated before. For example, you can rip your audio CDs into various audio file formats, such as MP3, WAV, WMA, and Ogg. You can also use the program to create image files from your discs and then burn those files back to blank discs. By the way, even though the program can create image files only in three formats (ISO, GBI, and BIN/CUE), it can burn image files from a wide variety of formats, including ASHDISC, NRG, NCD, DMG, and many others.
Finally, gBurner also allows you to convert disc image files into any of the three supported output formats, and to write the contents of an image file into a USB drive instead of using a blank disc. Undoubtedly, these are very interesting capabilities that are rarely found on other disc burning apps. Taking into account all the mentioned tools and features, I would definitely recommend anybody giving gBurner a try. You can test it for 30 days before having to buy a license key and register the program.
